This is me in denial.
I look at trends, social media calendars, and video editing every day for work. And I might be getting old because I’m getting nostalgic and missing the 2000s’ internet.
I used to enjoy social media; I posted a lot and was active in several communities. But everything changed after COVID. I feel like something changed after the pandemic, and now content is a whole production. And I’m not a content creator, I’m just me. I don’t want to be TikTok famous. I just want to say what I want to say, share what I do, and connect with people who get it. And with all the censorship on mainstream social media it just gets harder and harder.
This page is my little wink at the OG social media, and a space where I intend to find the consistency I’m lacking on Instagram and Threads to be able to share who I am and what I do without having to read r4cist comments.
In the words of Ms. Frizzle: Take chances, make mistakes, get messy. Which, honestly, feels like a pretty good business plan too.
