A few years ago, my home country was undergoing a political and social crisis, kinda similar to what my fellow Americans are about to go through. I made the choice to leave, and during the pandemic, I wrote this guide to help my friends who wanted to make the move but didn’t know how (mostly so I wouldn’t have to say the same thing over and over!).

After last November’s election, I decided to translate it, and adjust some of the details to help others who might be facing the same situation.

This guide does three things: it helps you figure out if moving abroad is the right choice for you, it sets realistic expectations, and it (at the risk of sounding redundant) guides you through the process.

Because it’d take me forever to write about every particular situation, I also created a Facebook group, where I’ll be answering all your questions, and where (I hope) you’ll meet others who are in the same boat and help each other.This guide is sold on a “name your price” basis, and 50% of all profits will go to The Trevor Project, to support those who decide to stay and fight as well as those for who leaving is not an option.
